All prices listed on the website www.collectionneursdevoyages.com are in Canadian dollars, per adult, based on double occupancy, unless otherwise stated.
Prices are indicative only and are subject to (but are not limited to) chosen options, available travel dates, trip alterations/amendments, transportation, accommodation categories, all of which can and may influence the price.
For all new bookings made as of January 1st, 2019, the contribution to the FICAV (Fonds d’indemnisation des clients des agents de voyages) is free of charge.
For travels within Canada, the rates are subject to QST and GST.
In accordance with current regulations of the Office de la protection du consommateur, (OPC) we could modify the price of your trip if one of the following three circumstances appear:
Price increases are authorized by law up to 30 days before departure. If price changes are to be applied to the price of your trip, we will notify you as soon as possible.
Booking (land tour, cruise groups): a per person deposit is required upon reservation. This deposit depends on the suppliers’ terms and conditions. The exact amount will be indicated in the specific travel brochure. The amount of the deposit is non-refundable and non-transferable. You must send Collectionneurs de Voyages travel agency a photocopy of your valid passport and your complete address.
Booking (Vacation package): a per person deposit is required upon reservation. Suppliers’ conditions will apply.
Payment of air portions: given airline regulations, all airline tickets issued individually must be paid in full at the time of booking or purchase.
Final payment: the balance payment is required at a specific date, depending on each travel booking. The exact date will be indicated in the specific travel brochure.
Payment options include: Visa and MasterCard, bank transfers (fees must be paid by the client), cheques and cash. For payment by credit cards for a land tour or a cruise group, a fee of 3% will be added to the invoice. For a vacation package payment, the extra 3% fee does not apply. In the event that your cheque is returned by the financial institution, a $50 penalty will be charged.
Consulting and estimation fees: For any travel research and quote request for a cruise or an all-inclusive stay, a $25 fee per file will be applied. For any travel research and quote request for a grand tour, a $50 fee per file will be applied. These fees will be refunded if the client book the trip with our travel agency.
World Tour fees: To offer you the best possible routes, itinerary, services, facilities, excursions and activities, Collectionneurs de Voyages travel agency and its travel advisors are committed to the complete and detailed planning of your world tour from departure to return. Thus, a $250 fee will apply. This fee is non-refundable.
Cancellation made by the traveller
LAND TOUR AND CRUISE GROUPS organised by Collectionneurs de Voyages travel agency.
At the time booking, the deposit is 100% non-refundable.
Cancellation policies are specific to each travel and to each supplier’s terms and conditions. All the information, conditions and amount will be indicated in the specific travel brochures.
All airline tickets issued are non-refundable.
VACATION PACKAGE
Suppliers’ conditions apply. On top of that, a fee of $125 per person will be charged by Collectionneurs de Voyages travel agency.
Cancellation in the case of a shared room or stateroom
Our prices are based on double occupancy, therefore, if your travel companion cancels their participation in the trip, you will be required to pay an extra supplement for your single occupancy. This fee may be covered by travel insurance. Please check with one of our Collectionneurs de Voyages travel consultants for more information.
In all of the above cases, please notify us in writing of your decision to cancel your trip, as soon as possible. The effective date of cancellation will be the date that we receive written notification of said cancellation from you.
Cancellation made by Collectionneurs de Voyages
While we hope to never cancel your trip, it may be occasionally necessary to do so. In such an event, you are entitled to appropriate compensation:
If Collectionneurs de Voyages, a travel agent or one of our travel advisors has to cancel a trip, you will be refunded for money you have already paid, without further compensation.
Some group tours require a minimum number of participants, as mentioned on the brochure. If this number is not reached, the Collectionneurs de Voyages travel agent would have to cancel the trip and will refund you for amounts already paid, without further compensation.
You must present yourself at the airline departure counter at the airport at least three hours before flight departure. The airline passenger service agent or representative will assign your seat at that time, unless you decide to register on the airline carrier’s website 24 hours before flight departure. In this case, you could pre-select your seat.
Airline flights and connections schedules are subject to change without further notice and are indicative only. Collectionneurs de Voyages travel agency can, in no way, be held responsible for any flight changes, flight delays or flight cancellations. It is your responsibility to reconfirm your flight with the airline and check the flight schedules at least 24 hours before departure.
Weight limits, baggage sizes and luggage amounts are specific to each airline. Your Collectionneurs de Voyages travel advisor will notify you of any allowances and restrictions. In all cases, the baggage conditions of the airline carrier(s) supersede the recommendations made by Collectionneurs de Voyages travel agency.
Cruise companies and land or air service providers may decide to change their itineraries at any time. This includes, but is not limited to, adding or removing stops, route deviation, date changes, etc. Collectionneurs de Voyages travel agency cannot be held responsible for these changes (routes and dates) or for any loss incurred to passengers related to these changes.
All accommodation (hotels, lodges, villas, etc.) referred by Collectionneurs de Voyages travel agency are quality accommodation. Standards for accommodation categories (stars, affiliation, size of the rooms, etc.) are related to standards of the visited countries. Rooms will be assigned upon arrival by the accommodation’ staff, depending on the category reserved.
Passport. It is your responsibility to have a passport valid for a minimum period of six months after the date of return. If you lose or misplace your passport, it is your responsibility to carry out the necessary steps to obtain a new passport or necessary travel documents.
Visa. For some destinations, a visa or a reciprocity fee may apply and Collectionneurs de Voyages travel agency will inform you of such costs. You can also take care of obtaining your visas and paying the required reciprocity fees on your own. Or, you may request assistance from Collectionneurs de Voyages travel agency regarding visas or the reciprocity fee process. A service charge will apply. In all cases, it is your responsibility to make sure you obtain and are in possession of all the correct and necessary paperwork and, that it complies with the entry requirements of the countries you are visiting. Failing this, your access to the carrier or country may be denied.
Vaccination. Many countries require proper vaccines. It is your responsibility to comply with these requirements. You may be required to provide proof of vaccination prior to entering a country (vaccination card, etc.).
Allergies. Travellers must notify Collectionneurs de Voyages travel agency of any food allergy or intolerance. Our travel advisors will make every effort to alert our various providers and local suppliers, but Collectionneurs de Voyages travel agency, its travel agents and advisors will in no way be held responsible for the presence of allergens during your trip.
Health. Travellers should be healthy to complete the trip, and bring with them their medication to ensure all goes smoothly. You must notify Collectionneurs de Voyages travel agency of any disability at the time of booking, so that we can make the necessary arrangements for your trip. Similarly, expectant mothers should notify the travel agency of their condition as airlines, cruise companies and other carriers do apply strict regulations concerning travelling pregnant women.
Behaviour. The traveller is committed to respecting local laws and regulations and customs of the countries they visit. You must not endanger the lives of your travel companions, other passengers of the group, or partners and local suppliers of Collectionneurs de Voyages travel agency.
If you have to interrupt your stay during your trip, the unfinished or unused portion is non-refundable. Any changes to the trip itinerary as requested by you during your stay are subject to the conditions of local providers. Fees must apply and will be charged directly to you by the local provider. Collectionneurs de Voyages travel agency cannot be charged back for this.
For your peace of mind and protection, we strongly recommend that you take out a comprehensive travel insurance policy.
